Mine runs at 800x600 at 85 hertz, and supports upto 1600x1200.
And I just had to find out now that you need to scroll to see the extra stuff over 1024x768.

There is NO release date other than 'sometime this year'. No months, weeks, days, whatever. Sometime this year is as specific as you'll get.
Also, yes, there will be an upgrate route from 2.0.x to 2.2.x.
