You shouldn't have to chmod any of your files. Just use FTP for your settings and everything should work fine. Which the FTP user has to be able to write. In other words have permission to write files on your site.

getting the EMC seal How exactly is this going to work? Are we going to have to submit our MOD to you so we can get the 'seal' and then submit it to the MOD DB or will we get the seal when we submit it to the DB? This is a reason for having a preview mode which is already going to be added in 0.0.11. That way you can fix all of the problems before installing the MOD.

This would be a good feature. Say you have a MOD that you are trying to install but the the action that is trying to be done can't be done since another MOD has edited that part of the code. So instead of having to go into the install file for the MOD and delete the lines for that action you can ju...
