For clarity: phpBB allows the topic starter to close his own topics (if granted such permission). phpBB also allows the topic starter to delete a topic so long as no one has replied to it (and granted such permission).

I haven't changed my opinion since my first post on the topic, FWIW.

I would think that a tech support forum would use a "like post" much like StackOverflow. I personally like the idea for 3.2 or beyond.

A user being granted moderator permissions is supposed to be removed from all foe lists at that time. Is that not happening?
