The mailing list is only used for notifications of new releases, of which there have been none since the list's introduction.

Thank you for your input, but we do not see it as worthwhile to create a temporary forum for non-support 2.0.x topics. Non-critical questions can wait until phpBB.com returns.

Users are free to discuss the workings of 3.0 here, and that was clearly not why I locked your topic. There is a difference between discussion and support. The wording of your original topic fell foul of that line.

Furthermore, questions regarding a locked topic should be taken via PM to the staff ...
