Re: Upgrading
Since phpBB is going to support sub forums (which I adore on my CVS board. I'm thinking of creating an online game where the challenge is to get far enough in to post LOL), then many people are likely to create multiple forums within a single board (e.g Roleplaying games like my site, I want to ...

Re: A reasonably "working" CVS thing
Thanks, that saved me (I didn't get any errors at all, just a blank white screen)
I'd like to say now that the admin panel is sexi and the new features (what's working right now at least) are looking amazing. You're doing some really great work and I can't wait for the release (*wishes for a ...

Re: New BB-CODE Interface
I know I shouldn't speak of such heathen here, but VBulletin board has a basic and advanced option for BBCode which I always found useful. I don't use basic myself anymour, but it was useful for inexperienced users (which I was once upon a time).
Also, I notice that the JS on phpBB 2.0.4 is ...

Re: CVS / this board...
I'm fairly okay with SQL and PHP. But I'm wondering if I need to know it to set up the board, or do I only need manually do things for updating?

Re: Session ID's and security
Ah of course, if no cookie was found then it would have to put the whole lot onto the URL (less secure I expect).
I don't think it would need any more database queries, doesn't phpBB have to fetch a user's info with every page view anyway? If so then it's just an extra 32 bits coming over with ...

Re: CVS / this board...
Thanks. Are the instructions for data base editing etc included? Or do I have to download it and guess as I go along?
I assume there's no install.php that does it all for me?

Re: CVS / this board...
Where do I get the CVS anyway? I'll go look, but the search function looks like it will explode if I touch it (emphasis on the if I touch it)

Re: Forum link
Seems a bit like a waste of space with those missing columns. It would be cool if link forums were handled like global announcements (have their own little category at the top or bottom) and were made more compact, maybe having the description to the side and having a smaller icon.
But otherwise ...

Re: Little suggestion
I agree with this actually. There are a few possible solutions:
1. A drop-down list of all the pages - this is compact and contains the lot, personally I don't like them but they do work. To cut down on page size you simply have a bit of java script which contains the URL of the thread, then tags ...
