Re: Maybe

I'm not simple minded. I just use common sense that applies to this case without thinking much.

If you have an internet connection, you sure have a browser.

If you have a phpbb board, you have an internet connection and surely a browser.

If your browser does not support frames [which is the ...

Re: Hold On

You don't manage the concept that some people may have a hobbie or an interest they are so passionate about they work on it ?

I work with Java Applets, and I don't charge them at all. I learned something a while ago, and I decided to focuss on it for some time, I created many applets and had them ...

Re: Hold On

I don't think they get paid to do this. Could be wrong, but this is a free board because they do it out of will. Yet I have no idea if someone pays that will to make tha board.

beats me.

Easiest Way

What is the easiest way to update your current database from a .sql archive?

I do have phpmyAdmin, but I don't know if there's an option to "update" the current settings to fit whatever changes there is in the .sql file.

I ask this cause I know sometimes mysql_basic.sql change within the CVS ...

Re: Wondering

An upgrade pretty much have this process:

1. Check your DB for needed tables, and create the ones in order for the new options to work. In this case "Attachments" for example.
2. Modifies your current folders structure, creating the ones you need for it to work. (In this case, a cache directory ...

Re: Maybe

Why do you need a software to connect to the board, if you can just open the administration panel and it will do just that?

I see no point in creating a program for it. When it's accesible thru the internet in a single click on your explorer.

Re: Tell a Friend

That's already partially implemented on this board, yet it doesn't work right now...as a lot of other things simply don't because it's an alpha state.

But you'll see that option in the final version for sure. Don't worry.

Re: Is It Fust Me

Yes, everything looks cuter and better in this version of the board.

Specially forum related views, the text of topic titles is not that huge so it minimizes how the entire package looks, and it just rocks.

Also, plenty of new features, and an awesome new layout in the ACP where everything it's ...

Re: Conditions

Some of the things you nota haravikk I'd like indeed.

Yet I think the approach of events it's to set some sort of "basic" [average users like pso said] options started and leave it there, so people can then use it at will to MOD the board in a more advanced manner when it comes to settings events ...
