Re: [RFC|Merged] AJAX

I apologize if this has been mentioned before (I tried looking, but couldn't find it). Does this include "mark topics/forums read"? I ask because if I click that and then click the link to return to where I was, the topics get marked as read. However, if I let it sit there and let it go away on it'...

Re: [RFC] GeSHi highlighting

features are included because they will be helpful to the majority of phpBB boards. Only one small subset (i.e. programming-oriented boards) will even have a need for syntax highlighting. So, for features that only cater to a certain group of boards, we encourage them being implemented as extension...

Re: [RFC] Post Revisions

David,

I quickly glanced over your initial changes and noticed this:

Code: Select all

define('POST_REVISIONS_TABLE',        $table_previx . 'post_revisions');
That should be $table_prefix

Re: [RFC] GeSHi highlighting

If adding to core, I would preffer not to load whole GeSHi until at least one CODE tag requires it. This is totally possible. Instead of including the file at the beginning of /includes/message_parser.php , simply do something like this: if ($syntax) {     // some stuff     global $phpbb_root_path,...

Possibly, yes. I'd be interested how others feel.

Re: GeSHi highlighting

But I'm not sure how useful this would be to the wider phpBB user base. A Google search for "coding phpbb" turns up multiple websites on the first two pages. I didn't check them all, but I recognize most of the domains. EDIT: Could you post a copy of your GeSHi MOD for whoever implements it into th...

[RFC] GeSHi highlighting

OK, so phpBB currently uses the highlight_string function to highlight PHP code on a phpBB board. This work fine for PHP code, but the software neglects to include coloring for other programming languages (specifically for phpBB - HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc). GeSHi is a syntax highlighter that suppo...

Re: [RFC] Skip post confirmation page

Why not? It's my understanding that phpBB wants to move more towards hooks for the software. Including a hook that disables the redirects will server both sides - those that want the redirect pages (like myself) have the option to delete the hook to retain that functionality. No, it doesn't. It's a...
