What about the fact that some mods has install files to make all their DB changes and such? The gallery mod for phpbb is one perfect example

I think Meow is going on the fact that phpbb 3.0.x include subsilver in the download package that we should do it with Prosilver SE

Well just have phpbb delete it install files when it finish installing, and the same for mods as well. But I don't know how you would go about doing that for mods

Also this could render the point of being able to delete messages. For e.g. if someone is swearing, it will be removed before many people see it. If it is subscribed to and included in the email then they know the message already.

or we could just leave the files there and put a install.lock file in the install folder and that will lock the installer.

This is something else that I been waiting for a long time as well. I would only want to see at the top of the page like there is "1 reported post" or something like that.
