Ok, so the point is that some people don't like disclosing it. My point is that people should not really worry about that, since it's quite easy to obtain anyway, but this is just my idea, and nothing more.

So what's the point then? You were meaning that everybody can have the list of all IP's used by the other accounts, weren't you? (which IMO is not a problem)

IMO, IP addresses are not a problem. If I put a link into this post, and you click on it, I log your IP on my site. It's that easy. I agree. That's also why it's so important to have an automatic mod installer, otherwise phpBB will be a board suitable for advanced admins only, and that's not what we want, right?
