Re: = Live Admin Panel Demo = [Beta1]

hey is it a bug when I log in to the Admin Panel when asked to reauthenticate my username and password it is all in text with a white background? It has lost all its template structure.

Re: Suspecting beta release very very soon!

I can predict when the beta comes out...it's coming out...now.

Now.

Nnnnnnnnnnnow

just joking...it's going to be....nnnnnnnow.

Surely it'll still take a while even after the current bugs are crushed? Don't the developers have to sit around in meetings and drinking coffe?

Re: Why does phpBB use a posting confirmation page?

As said here, I like it. I guess it just ensures that people know they're post/topic has been posted and added, rather then double-posting by accident, which gives moderators or other staff more pointless and avoidable work to do. I also agree that it looks good and I will always use it on my forum...

Re: Why does phpBB use a posting confirmation page?

I was wondering if in this new version the confirmation page after posting that takes you back to your thread would still be there. Why does phpBB use this page before going back to the thread? Is it not possible to see your own message as soon as you press post? I've always wondered... Redirection...

Re: Updating from 2.0.x to 3.0.0

I think from what I can remember I have only installed MODs which have added columns and not changed original phpbb2 fields. (Can anyone give me an example of a MOD that does this!?) When backing up my database, do I do it in My PHP Admin or just in the admin CP in phpbb2? Also, what is the differen...

Re: Updating from 2.0.x to 3.0.0

When I update my 2.0.20 board to 3.0 I want to get rid of every mod I have ever installed and start afresh. What is the best way of doing this? I just want to keep the posts in the database, nothing else. Is it gonna be a case of deleting the whole install of phpbb2, installing a fresh phpbb3 in the...

Re: Why does phpBB use a posting confirmation page?

Plus, if there is no confirmation then a user may be confused as to whether their posting was actually posted. oh come on! When they post it appears right there at the end of the thread right in front of you. Its probably a server stress thing I rekon for large boards when many different posts are ...

Re: Why does phpBB use a posting confirmation page?

You can always lower the redirect so it redirects quicker. Yes I have done this in my forums, but really what I want is for there to be no page at all! In what way does vbulletin post differently then because that posts the message straight to the thread. As you can tell I know very little of what ...
