This board is a live environment. Seems to work just fine.

What will be the advantages of Beta? Seems I have read that it still won't be recomended for a live site and that there will not be an upgrade script.

A date is not really neccessary. Just some sort of progress report as to what is remaining and a vague idea of the time required would be very nice for those of us obsessed with getting our sites upgraded.

Though obviously not linear, less bugs would seem to be more favorable for a timely release.

The rational is great. The reality is that many users will complain. Hopefully someone can come up with a better solution.

Moving the data is trivial. Knowing which data to put where is not so trivial.
