phpBB 3.3.1 is shipped with FontAwesome v.5.13.0. The most recent for now is 5.13.1 though but it was released just a few days ago, see https://fontawesome.com/changelog/latest. FA 6 has not been released yet afaik as they're taking just preorders currently.
FA 5 in phpBB is coming with free ...

But the issue here can be that add_modules seems to be needed to complete migrations (see below). Probably it should be replaced with a "dummy" task which don't actually install modules in the meantime but ...

Nope. post.forum_id and its topic.forum_id are identical. When the post's parent topic get moved to another forum, the posts's forum_ig get updated.

Post and its topic always have the same parent forum_id.

Just for the note: afaik this is the Symfony 3.3+ feature so can be suitable for phpBB 3.3+ only
