people must have some different styles around by now!!! :lol: :lol: possibly, but you must remember the RC is not final and there is still a chance things will change and as such people may hold off until they have a stable code base to work with :) Also can we have no posting links as that is spam...

How do you upgrade from Beta 5? There is no support for doing this, you were warned via the various announcements. No support for updating the beta software and no support for updated beta software. In short you are on your own. ...but there is a database upgrade script - you just need to find it :...

when I updated my old cvs to the RC1 I did not even make the database changes relating to the new emotions, I have to be honest I am not a fan.

Yes you are allowed to convert phpBB2 to phpBB3 RC1 as the RC1 is fully supported. To convert you need to install a fresh phpBB3 forum and then run the converter at yourdomain.com/phpBB3/install/ and complete the required steps as you go through the process.

you need to replace the md5 has in the phpbb_config database table with a hash for your desired password.

the has is going to be stored in the row with the config_value "EM_password" probably on the last page of the phpbb_config listing

Would everyone recommend to use it live if I'm not very familiar with php or ccs? What is "team phpbb" expectations from us? The RC1 is fully supported and that means in theory it is fine to run live, although it is worth noting there is still a chance there may be some bugs, at the end of the day ...

I have been running it live since beta3 so yeah I will be using it live as an RC as well :)

i don't see how ranks can be considered a skin i made some nice ranks to share now i dare you to change the .gif file format so that when gold comes out my .gif rank images won't work on phpBB3 gold From what I can gather you released your own product here, which is against the rules , hence it was...
