TBH that mod is a standard installation for me when making a new forum... Even though I rarely use it, i really would like to see it in the core package. I think it's rather weird not to be able to update an attachement, it's like writing on a white-board with a permanent marker.

I think a wysiwygg editor is just a real-time presentation of what you type and format. I think it wouldn't be that hard (sorry I'm no coder) if you do the same thing with the bbcode buttons.. with the BBcode buttons it isn't a fancy button with a nice image. I think you get more response and better support on the main phpBB forums. These forums (area51.phpbb.com) are mostly related on development of phpbb
