Re: Login Logs

Well, as soon as they stop viewing something on the site they effectively have logged off. Thats what I mean. I mean come onto and come off of the site as well as failed logins ect.,

all we have on server side is ...

Re: Spam handling for phpBB 3.1

Re: subsilver2

There have been a few more than 70.000 transmitted reports since we added it in 3.0.6. I'll try to throw together at least a few basic web accessible reports this week that everyone can look at. Right now it's only accessible through SQL queries ;-)

70,000?!
i'm mightily impressed!

(oh, and do ...

Re: [RFC] Post log/record

i am not 100% sure, but i think that the "draft" mechanism could pretty simply be modified.
with "archival" you do not need to have all the details of the original post, only the text, so it makes sense to have it in separate table.
(oh, and i didn't mention but i, too, think it's a brilliant idea ...

regarding Phorum:

ttbomk, in phorum a "plugins" does not modify even a single line of code, and that includes the template.

it is also true, that in *addition* to plugins, phorum also distribute more invasive modification that *do* modify the code.
in the phorum nomenclature these are called "hacks", and in general ...

Re: Beware the 4.0

what is winamp?
i guess with thousands of packages and versions floating around, it should not be *that* hard to find a faulty 3 and/or good 4.
i still think that 4 in general sucks.

please don't completely ignore the tongue-in-cheek tone of the first post...

FWIW, i am posting this using chrome ...

just curious: may i ask how many sites actually *use* the "send statistics" feature to report back? (and btw, i think it was a briliant idea to add it...).

peace.

Re: subsilver2

Thanks!
that *is* useful.

it does not mean, necessarily, that offing subsilver would be a bad thing, but it definitely shows that the claim "barely any mod supports it" is not precise.

Re: subsilver2

(and do you have some stats of how many mods that touch style *do* support it vs. how many that touch style don't?
This would be trivial to generate for someone with access to moddb.
so, do you volunteer?

Re: Beware the 4.0

[EDIT] someone pointed me (in a completely unrelated discussion - i don't even know if the other person ever heard of phpbb and even if they did, i doubt very much they care one single bit about it) to this very interesting article.
you want to read it.
so i attach it to the head of this post i ...
