I think it's been in development since 2001 or something though so I doubt it will ever actually get released.
I'm sure there are other software packages out there for you if you can't wait any longer.....

It is a BUG. You are downloading a DEVELOPMENT snapshot. Things break. If you can't fix it yourself, then you're SOL until it's fixed in the CVS.
