Re: Assist in development?
I'm doing everything I can here to help. I've gotten nothing but negativity, attacks, and requests for me to "wait".
You just don't seem to get it then. The developers don't a) want your help right now or b) need assistance
So yes, you can wait for a opportunity to help with community coding ...

Not to seem rude, but if you somehow feel there's negativity towards phpbb, why would you want to help with coding????iamsureiamsure wrote:
I'm starting to understand the negativity towards phpbb now.

Re: phpBB 3.0?
But you seem to be under the impression that the gifted people who design this great FREE software you're using need to check with you about adding features.
We can request new features, and they can say 'no' and make up and reasoning they want to, 1) don't wanna add 'feature x', 2)its not popular ...

Re: Yay! Permissions!
Okay, then - that settles it - I'll criticize you instead, you F-tard. This is a discussion about permissions and the state of development, not about me and my posts. You're not the police here.
Geez, you're dumber than a sack of doorknobs aren't ya? Don't you get along with anyone? Or are you ...

Re: phpBB 3.0?
I'm even tempted to leave it out of the upgrade of my board, and see how many users clamor for it.
I know I won't be putting it on the board I manage, and everyone else I've talked to who also run phpBB systems have the same feelings. Its just not worth it for the number of users who use it ...

Re: phpBB 3.0?
Lack of a QR does make phpBB the only major forum w/out one by default.
That's not a bad thing. Why follow what other people have done? Its crappy on those boards, why drag phpBB down by adding it in?
Do you have any proof to back up those claims?
