Well at the moment, all you will get is people telling you how to do it. I 'think' once phpBB3 is released, they will provide a Manual.

I did something like that on my board as well (though its not phpBB3), I took the [ Thanks ] MOD, changed it to [ Nice Post ] and made the looks as it is in vB. Works awesome, you should give it a try
