I have noticed on Area51 that when I am subscribed to a topic I am getting an email notification for each reply, whether I have visited the board or not. Is this intentional behavior in 3.2 or a bug as am am sure that I only used to get one message no matter how many replies there were.

Re: Possible Bug - guests can view contact data in profile
I think that you are going a bit extreme about "data protection"
Having been heavily involved with data protection in my working life there is nothing on a phpBB forum in contact data that would be a breach of any Data Protection Act as there are no "personal identifiers" showing (in fact unless ...

Re: Complete redesign of the update process?
I'm only talking about listing the files that will be replaced, nothing else. That's really not that complicated. Now if we went and decided to list all of the changes that are going to get overwritten that's another story, but I'm not suggesting that.
Sorry - I misunderstood what you were saying ...

Re: Complete redesign of the update process?
I fully agree that the automatic updater should just be removed. However some sort of sanity check should be in place indicating/listing what files will be replaced, outside of the vendors directory. I would say that all files would need to be processed in that case, not just changed files. This ...

Re: phpBB 3.2.0-b2 released
Just updated from b1 -> b2 using the changed files and database update - worked perfectly taking no more than two minutes from start to finish (a great improvement from the previous time of three hours!)
A couple of observations:
1. I did not have an update notice on my board that there was an ...

Re: Complete redesign of the update process?
My view of the automatic updater is that it should be removed. One of the main concepts of 3.1 and above is that of extensions and child styles, removing the need to change core files. If people are changing core files then it is up to them to reapply those changes - I have done it in the past when ...
