a tick box with a link so you can actually read it is the best solution imo.
Acceptance of a Privacy Policy cannot be a tickbox, with or without a link, it has to be a positive action, so nothing less than an "I accept" button is permissible. Sorry if this upsets the layout but the law comes ...
