Re: Possible Bug - guests can view contact data in profile

I think that you are going a bit extreme about "data protection" Having been heavily involved with data protection in my working life there is nothing on a phpBB forum in contact data that would be a breach of any Data Protection Act as there are no "personal identifiers" showing (in fact unless exp...

Re: Complete redesign of the update process?

I'm only talking about listing the files that will be replaced, nothing else. That's really not that complicated. Now if we went and decided to list all of the changes that are going to get overwritten that's another story, but I'm not suggesting that. Sorry - I misunderstood what you were saying. ...

Re: Complete redesign of the update process?

I fully agree that the automatic updater should just be removed. However some sort of sanity check should be in place indicating/listing what files will be replaced, outside of the vendors directory. I would say that all files would need to be processed in that case, not just changed files. This is...

Re: phpBB 3.2.0-b2 released

Just updated from b1 -> b2 using the changed files and database update - worked perfectly taking no more than two minutes from start to finish (a great improvement from the previous time of three hours!) A couple of observations: 1. I did not have an update notice on my board that there was an updat...

Re: Complete redesign of the update process?

My view of the automatic updater is that it should be removed. One of the main concepts of 3.1 and above is that of extensions and child styles, removing the need to change core files. If people are changing core files then it is up to them to reapply those changes - I have done it in the past when ...

Re: short dates and long dates

And can easily be fixed, if necessary, with an extension.

Re: phpBB 3.2.0-b1 released

I wonder what validators who use windows with XAMPP (or WAMP) will do to install boards for testing extensions now. Give up testing  Not only testing - but what about extension developers, they will have the same problem. I did eventually, after wasting half a day of my life, manage to get m...

Like david63 also mentioned all extensions that have ACP option/settings in extensions tab.
So change settings and save the extra errorbox appear.
But I am not getting any error box - that is working as I would expect. It is not picking up .css & .js files until the cache is purged again.

Which extension?
They are extensions that i am still working on - but it seems that the problem is only with extensions that use the ACP, front facing files appear to be working OK
