due to the way how heights of block elements are supposed to be displayed, it is not always possible(or in most cases) to place your content at the bottom of block elements.
the table is higher then the block element, which means that the bottom element does not reach the bottom of the table cell ...

I dont use the default opera skin but a skin called collision 2.0, which has an aqua scrollbar.

Eeerh, what exactly makes you conclude that I use a mac.
I am a 'gamer' so the last pc I will buy is a MAC because most games are only on the Windows system.

Well I guess this ensures that the new style won't look too dramatically different from subSilver...because it looks like the template files will be similar. Which is a disappointment actually because I was hoping for something completely new and fresh :) But ah well, I still have faith in the ...
