So far my plans are:
- to mostly use postitive ratings to calculate the karma that's shown ...

Re: Who voted for George Bush?
To be quite honoust I'm not very proud that 'my ancestors' gate 'the world' evangelicalism. IMO religion is one of the scariest things on earth. BTW I really don't have a problem with religious people, not at all. I just can't share their beliefs and some of their values.

What? In some states it's OK to marry your sister?? That's sick :\
There was a comic in our newspaper (big, national, business paper):

I'll translate :)

Re: Is there a God, and is He Good?
Hmm, I'm an atheistic agnosticus :D
I do think that we just can't know if there is (or is not) a god. But I'm strongly on the 'is not' side :)
BTW before you start thinking that I'l all weird :D I (vaguely) know 2 people (younger than 60) that go to church approximately once a week. There are ...

Re: Is there a God, and is He Good?
According to me there isn't. I've been brought up catholic (well, I went to a catholic school) but my 'faith' in God has always been very thin. It completely dissapeared when my grandmother died in a horrible (painful, humiliating, prolonged) way of cancer. My grandmother was very faithful to her ...

Re: The Quake 4 syndrome.
You do have a point but IMO 2.2 is a bit different. With 2.2 a _lot_ is going to change, it's not that it's just 2.0 with some extra knobs added, there is a fundamental difference in the way it has been set up.
Of course you can do that with one release and a partial reorganisation every 3 months ...

Re: Which party for you?
The main problem (IMO) is that a LOT of americans just don't understand that the world is larger than just their 'great nation' and that there are people in the world with other norms/values that are just as 'right' as theirs.
I find it amazing that a _very_ large majority of the world would vote ...

Yup, and again it's going to be an extremely close call.
The americans really keep amazing me, I guess I'll never learn to understand them. 50M people that vote for a president that:
- wants to limit privacy in order to increase 'national security'
- wants more guns in houses
