Cracking is really not an approriate term for being able to bypass a CAPTCHA, and regardless, it is more of a spam implication than a future security worry.

There are still dozens of show stopping bugs, non-MySQL database support is still heavily broken and I don't believe all the features are complete as yet.

Alternative the topic_title of the last topic could be stored in the forums_table, topic_last_topic_title etc and you eliminate performance issues for some minor duplicated data. An easy MOD if you want it.
