I think you need to duplicate the files then edit the config file for the style, and change the name and details there...
Since the functionality of phpBB3 is so elegant, editing config file is kinda stone age aproach, would you agree?

That's ridicules... the bandwidth usage from showing 25 users would be so minuscule.
Of course, this is assuming:
You leave topic display to 25
You don't have HUGE avatars
Even then, you would still use up more bandwidth viewing a single topic!! Gimmie a break!
