Re: [img] and local image

As a last resort, I suppose you could get around this by using the word filter to turn common paths (eg /images/smilies/) into http://domain.com/images/smilies/

I haven't used the word filter recently on Olympus and maybe things are different now, but it should work.

To sum up what has been said above, we make no estimates on the timeframe. The time it takes depends on what needs to be done for the next release :)

Re: phpBB3 fate is same as that of Windows Vista!!

The error that stood out to me most:

phpBB3 was earlier supposed to be phpBB2.5!!

We use the Linux Kernel method of version numbering. phpBB 3 was never going to be 2.5. The original intention was for it to be released as v2.2. But when it was realised that there would be no backward ...

Re: Discussing PHPBB3 Code Modifications ...

We try and stop discussion about MOD's for phpBB v3 for the benefit of the users. The code is still in Beta, and is not 100% stable. For a testing site, fantastic, but not for use in a live environment.

If you install the Beta now, we can't help you upgrade to a more recent release. Not to mention ...

Re: Branch forum structure

From what I am aware, this structure is the only one for reading posts. To reply to individuals, use the quote button, and their post will be quoted when you reply.

If you do make it as a MOD, I'm sure people will use it :)

Re: PHPBB3 Anti-Spam features?

I'm sure there are others, but the one that comes to mind for me are the new captcha's (visual confirmation). In phpBB2 it was just the basic type in the code, but now it is a lot more involved (ie. some characters in the background, but some bolded characters on top etc) which should hopefully ...

Re: Does Olympus support MOD packages?

Modules doesn't have anything to do with MOD's (modifications). However, from my understanding, it will make it easier for MOD authors, and should result in less file edits for the user installing the MOD.
