If it ain't broke, no need to fix it, or in this case no need to start anew.

I see good reasons for both leaving it alone and implementing this request. Maybe this could be an optional setting, as it would be good for some boards, while terrible for boards where such an approved post would look like it's out of sequence.

Question: What's the verdict on this? Will this feature be removed?

I agree with the others on how pointless this feature is.
