Wouldn't be very hard to fix that if you knew what you were doing ;)

Re: Question

Due to the secrecy and hints dropped around the place I'd say we're going to see a big style change before or on release. Either that or they've been building some of us up for nothing.

Re: Password hashing function

Couldn't be bothered to check usernames but whoever was putting crap on Martin is a toss. Maybe he doesn't have any super sensitive info but what does a little security hurt? I use extensive security on my server and home computer, tell me hwta it hurts? And while you're at it just post your login d...

Re: Extra field in topic

A total re-wreite of the mod but seriously, it doesn't sound like a very complex mod. I doubt it'd take more than 10-15mins to write. If you just wanted to hack your own field in then even less, couple of mins if you knew what you were doing.

Does work with php5, my local testing box runs php5 and it works great. Should know what you're talking about before you post.

Re: Password hashing function

Nothing open source is ever secure in the sense that crackers will always know what they're up against. However while I agree that salting is a great idea I don't believe md5 is by any mean "comprimised". If you actually read the details of what happened rather than just the Slashdot article, you'd ...

Re: Password hashing function

No because as well changing the hashing function would require every user on every upgraded phpBB board reset their password. Unless the devs went for using a salt and blah blah too long a post. Could be done but probably won't be for simplicity.

Re: Export Features?

If it's for an SEO reason, just use mod_rewrite although this board has a lot of visits from Googlebot so I suggest it wouldn't be necessary. If you have a large forum and you want static version to ease server load then wait for a mod to be released. I think this would be a nice feature to have sto...

Re: Looking Good

IPB mustn't have a search feature, otherwise I assume you would know how to work one? There isn't the option to see which topic users are viewing, the team reckons this is the task of a mod. Yes you can edit templates via the admin panel. I can't remember your other questions to answer but there is ...
