The speed increase is astounding
There is a very noticeable speed difference between phpBB2 and phpBB3. I thought it was just fast here because it is on a dedicated server, but after converting my test forum it is at least 50% faster then it was before. Has anyone done some calculations to figure out the precise percentage of the ...

Re: Is the current signature restrictions enough?
my point here is that this can be done entirely in the style, with no change whatsoever to the php code.
Yes, and if there is no restriction some people (such as myself) will have to seek MODs to make it happen. I think this is a large enough issue that it deserves to be part of the core phpBB ...

Re: Is the current signature restrictions enough?
I would consider this a missed option, not a feature request. Restricting signatures is important for some forums. You don't want moderators wasting their time on signatures which break size restrictions. I personally think there should be 2 additions:
1) Limit the total number of images
2) Total ...

Is the current signature restrictions enough?
Currently, there is no restriction to the number of images a user can put in a signature or how big those combined images can be. The maximum image width/height does not really make sense unless you can restrict the total number of images. Also, why can you restrict the number of smilies but not the ...

Re: BOT Style
I have never done a test to view a website as a bot would. How do I do that? I read before it involves modifying the browser heading or something?

Re: Bug is less,
I was excited when I was able to report one bug, but now I have reported nearly half a dozen. I wish Olympus was as done as much as everyone else, but it still has a little ways to go =[

Re: phpBB2 -> phpBB3 Upgrade Script Discussion
Can anyone else test out if there is an issue of unbanning a previously banned user before the conversion. That they receive the message, "You have specified an inactive username. Please activate your account and try again. If you continue to have problems please contact a board administrator." when ...

Re: fulltext natvie Vs. fulltext mysql
MySQL has a built in fulltext interface in the database, while other databases do not. Supposedly it is better to use MySQL Fulltext if you can.

Re: phpBB2 -> phpBB3 Upgrade Script Discussion
It is not possible because we simply do not know how much needs to be processed in advance. ;) I for one did a test conversion which took 24+ hours. ;)
Well maybe there could be some type of warning message to inform the user that it could take a long time depending on the amount of topics/posts ...
