Re: B4 still at work?
At this point, most changes are minor bug fixes. You can start creating MODs anytime you wish, just don't expect the code base to remain as stable as it would be after release candidate status. Also there is no support for modifications or modded installs of Olympus. So you are completely on your ...

Re: So what kinds of mods have you guys made for Olympus?
I have made 2 MODs thus far, both are relatively simple. One allows you to set a date on each board to prevent topics being modified by unauthorized users. This prevents people from bringing back old topics and creates a sort of archive system. My second MOD lets you set a board to author view only ...

Re: The speed increase is astounding
Holy....
Twenty million posts? Sixty thousand users? And a timing check... 40 posts in 60 seconds?
That's... impressive.
Not really. If you are on a dedicated server then a forum can handle a couple hundred users online easy with the correct configuration. It is when you get into the thousands ...

Re: Is the current signature restrictions enough?
You guys are still overlooking the simple fact that not everybody has the same silly rules about limiting the number of images in a signature. What's so difficult to grasp here?
Some people don't want boards where half the page is someone's signature. The developers implemented restrictions ...

Re: Is the current signature restrictions enough?
Why have a captcha to block spam bots when you can make a spam detection system?
Not even giant companies such as Google and Yahoo have built systems to detect spam with 100%, or close to that, accuracy. The captcha is a proven and extremely effective tool to prevent automated registrations to a ...

Re: Is the current signature restrictions enough?
Creating a spam recognition tool would be extremely difficult (more so than Karma) and probably not effective. Doing any of the proposals in this topic would be relatively simple and quick. Why have a restriction on avatar dimensions or size if you can just make a rule? To make sure that everyone ...

Re: Should I report this as a bug?
The developers can decide what it should be. It could be as simple as removing the extra colon or changing to an entire new term. My reasoning for Global Poll is this: when a normal topic is a poll it does not say Topic Poll: , it is just a poll. If you create a global announcement poll, you are ...

That is what this topic is for, to bring this issue to their attention.

Should I report this as a bug?
When you create a global announcement that is also a poll it reads like this:
Global Announcement: Poll: Topic Title
It does not look very pretty. But I don't know if this would be considered a bug.

Also, I was trying to determine whether to report that BCC in the private message page ...
