And I also said that "i did not want" to have these useless in the new phpbb (new being phpbb3.0 which would be an update from my 2.0.x ...

Re: Updating from 2.0.x to 3.0.0
I asked this earlier in the development. I'm keeping my board clean so that this problem dosen't affect me, but for those who do have mods, will the upgrade script ignore them or delete them, both from the database and/or the actuall program.
The upgrade script will just ignore the sections ...

Re: Updating from 2.0.x to 3.0.0

I have a phpbb with some hacks (including DB hacks). I KNOW the script won't convert them (I ALSO KNOW that the attachment mod will be an exception) anyway :
Will the script CONVERT the DB from 2.0 to 2.2
Or will it TAKE INTO the old DB the informations to a new DB ...

Re: Release?
2.2.x branch has been cancelled in favour of Olympus which will be
phpbb 3.0.x branch !
Not cancelled but renamed. What you are currently using was going to become 2.2 but because most of the code was changed it was decided to rename it to 3.0.
Almost perfectly right :)
So, My mistake ...

Re: Release?
The latest version is phpBB 2.0.19 which is pretty new! The next will either be called 2.0.20 or 2.1.0
You're pretty wrong :)
2.0. branch's next release would be : 2.0.20, that's right.
but 2.1.x branch will *never* come out, since it's a dev version.
2.2.x branch has been cancelled in ...

Re: Converter?
well, well, as far as I know (not much) this is dangerous to say "is working" since nothing is really sure about phpbb >2.1.XX (2.2, 3.0 maybe 4.0 as slackware 5.x -> 7.x) so telling "it works", even if no one can download it, is dangerous, imho.the_dan wrote: and is working
