Re: phpBB 3.2.0-b2 released

Didn't we already establish that 3.1 does not work with PHP 7? Perhaps you made a mistake in your post since this topic is about 3.2, not 3.1... Exactly that's why it is urgent to finish 3.2 ! It's not a good sign for PHPBB to use php functions who still use php extensions in the last stable versio...

Re: phpBB 3.2.0-b2 released

Sorry but when I trie to open the copy of my forum 3.1 on localhost running on PHP7 it says
"General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

mysql_connect function does not exist, is mysql extension installed? []"

This extension was deprecated in PHP 5.5.0

PHP 5.5 was released nov 2013

If you want to run phpBB under PHP7 then you will have to wait for phpBB 3.2
That's why "I can't wait" hope it will be soon.
But I'm wondering why there are still updates for 3.1.x isn't it waisted time and energy

Re: Search engine friedly url for phpbb

However, there are lengthy discussions about it, both here and at phpBB.com. For example, trying reading the Human Readable URLs RFC. Re: phpBB 3.2.0-b2 released

The same answer that you will always get - when it is ready. Why the great rush to move to PHP7? :) :) Because I want to know if PHP7 is really much faster ... seo friendly URLs

Hi, it would by good to give in futur versions of phpBB to give the possibility to create natively SEO URLs. We are in the 21h century and nearly no CMS uses stil such "technical" URLs as phpBB. I'm using since years third third party MOD's and since 3.1 extension. But it seems to be harder now to r...
