Re: [RFC] Human Readable URLs

If not, then as far as i know any other sorts of modification to this is on the very bottom of the priority list. That's just the same like to say never ! I'm not a coder but I think it would be much easier to provide this feature directly with the core than to make an extension for this ! This is ...

Re: [RFC] Human Readable URLs

Those are strongly suggested to upgrade to the latest 3.1.x, or even better to the incoming 3.2.0-rc1. ;) And in any case, if you do not have real and good content that satisfies the bigG you are still on your own. This matter has been discussed to death here and there, there is nothing more to say...

What's the rush? :?
I wouldn't care so much about 3.2 if there wouldn't be the problem that I can not switch my host to PHP7 because PHPBB isn't ready for it (all the rest is Wordpress, self coded main page ...)

Honestly it should come very soon. We are just waiting for a small thing.
One week later the "small thing" looks more than a "big" thing ???

Re: [RFC] Human Readable URLs

Interesting annecdote: upgraded a client from 3.0 to 3.1 and within a month they reported that their searchability (SEO) improved by a lot. Certainly there are things we did correctly in 3.1 to improve on this. Not saying pretty URLs aren't important or that they won't happen but there are certainl...

Re: [RFC] Human Readable URLs

Sorry this is not really true there is no "lack of interest" one the board owner side and even the developer of the only SEO extension https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=456&t=2288486 says always that he cannot finish because he can't get get the event he needs to finish ! So who belie...

Re: [RFC] Human Readable URLs

An extension could be created but lack of interest has prevented one from being properly created. See my previous ccommen for more details. Re: PHPBB3-10418 - WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

There is a valid argument that says it should be an extension then those who want it can have it and those who don't won't have it. To put it in the core, as an option, will only serve to inflate the core. So it would be also a valid argument that most of boards don't need hundreds of different per...

Re: PHPBB3-10418 - WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

There is a WYSIWYG editor Extension https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=2322921 who works very well (even in phpbb 3.2) would it be so difficult to do the same thing just as a standard feature ? Same problem. It doesn't support custom BBCodes. I don't know if there are so much boards wh...

Re: PHPBB3-10418 - WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

The fact of the matter is that it was planned for 3.2 but the person that was working on it was unable to finish it in time for release and it's still unfinished. There is obviously a plan to include it in a future version but proper implementation has been a difficult task. All of those forum scri...
