Re: Upgrading ACP's core code.

Here I do have to disagree. The refactoring/re-coding of the *CPs benefits first of all phpBB itself... this topic touches both sides: phpBB and extension writers (so to say, at the end of all: phpBB itself). ;) I'm not sure on exactly what we're disagreeing on, I guess it is not really important a...

Re: Upgrading ACP's core code.

Well, this bit about multiple major releases it's something discouraging. It is, however as I said earlier, as an extension author you shouldn't really worry about that part, as you would have the new *CP framework, which would allow you to write your extension's *CP parts in the new framework. Als...

Re: Upgrading ACP's core code.

There are plans to refactor the ACP (as basically everything else that is in a front-facing file). Probably when someone will have some architectural plans, then you can expect to see an RFC posted somewhere in this forum. As VSE said, the *CPs are pretty big beasts so it may take a lot of time/mult...

I think that for 3.3/4.0 we should have fontawesome topic icons and forum icons also.
As far as I know the plan is not to use any font icons.

Can I translate words between tags <info>--send-email</info> (in this case --send-email) in language file: language/xy/cli.php?

Example: To optionally send an email to the new user, use the <info>--send-email</info> option

EDIT: I guess it shouldn't be translated.
it shouldn't

Refactoring view online into services and controller

If anyone has any suggestions on what might be improved on the viewonline page, now would be a great time to share. Or if you just want it to look and work exactly the same in 3.3 as well.

Ticket is here, but you really should comment here not there if possible.

Thanks for any input in advance.

Both look good. What do you mean by we are using twemoji currently?
phpBB 3.2 supports emojis, and it currently uses the twemoji package to render them.

Re: Retina-friendly

We could just use EmojiOne or Twemoji both for smilies and emojis (we are using twemoji for emojis i think currently, but both packages are supported by the textformater, so it is fairly easy to integrate either).

Re: Debugging with NetBeans and xdebug

It seems that something is not right with your editor/xdebug setup. Unfortunately I'm not quite sure what the problem might be exactly.

Re: Debugging with NetBeans and xdebug

Not sure if that's your problem, but to me it sounds like you don't use step into. If that's not your problem, please try to be a bit more specific about what you're trying to do.
