Tested an automatic update from phpBB 3.1.6 to phpBB 3.1.8 RC1 and update went smoothly.
I've tested the NRU fix and view members fix and can confirm proper operation again.
Thanks to the phpBB development team for all their efforts.

Re: Changing the Atom feed output, RFC needed?
Thanks. My concern is changing the output format (i.e. removing the forum name from the item title) is more a design change than a bugfix, so might need to follow a different process.

Changing the Atom feed output, RFC needed?
As discussed in phpBB • Customizing the Atom Feed entry titles? and https://tracker.phpbb.com/browse/PHPBB3-14470, I've been working on changing the output in phpBB's Atom feed. If I wanted to have the changes incorporated into phpBB's code, is the proper procedure to do this via a RFC?

Re: phpBB 3.1.7 RC1 released
Our board has a couple of style modifications, so we use the automatic update package. Just tested 3.1.6 to 3.1.7 RC1 and all looks OK. Thanks. :D

Re: Advanced Search - Single Search Field
I think you have missed an important use case. Using your example, Option 1 results are in http://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB/search.php?keywords=dunkin+donuts&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sr=posts&sk=t&sd=d&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search which currently shows 4 posts.

Thanks. That one was staring me right in the face and I just plain missed it.DavidIQ wrote:In addition to what Steve said the "Enable board-wide emails" setting in the "Email settings" area of the ACP should stop emails from going out if you set it to "No".

Disable email communication on a test site
Apologies if this isn't the correct place to ask this question.
For the forums I administer and operate, we maintain a couple of testbeds for testing updates/upgrades. We populate the database for these sites from our nightly backups.
I'd like to be able to shut-off/disable email communication ...

Re: phpBB 3.0.13 Release Candidate 1 published
A data point. Have done a test upgrade of a phpBB 3.0.12 "almost stock" forum using the automatic update package and basic sanity testing shows all OK. Forum has no MODs installed, just a couple of very minor code changes, one for Artodia:Mobile and SEO and another to hide online userlist from ...

Re: Releasing 3.1.3
Thanks again, I see a developer has been assigned to the bug report and there's work in progress.
When there is a fix available, I've got a local testbed of one of my sites that I can use for testing. My background is software development, so I know the process well.
