I like Marshalrusty suggestion too. I don't even think we need an icon in the "Quick nav" ("Quick links" is a good alternative, as VSE pointed out) dropdown. As for the "advanced search" icon, do we need it? It basically does the same think as the "search" ico...

Isn't it possible to replace the searchbar in the header with the one proposed on the topic view? With the dropdown and new design?
And on the topic view just keep the new design for the searchbar.

IMHO, the search dropdown should only be available in the global search field, where the current "advanced search" link is. It has nothing to do in the forum/topic search field.

So, if we only have prosilver/test.html and subsilver2/test.html, and the user uses foobar, nothing will happen, until someone create the correct folder for the style foobar?

I agree with Marshalrusty on this. If the user open the search dropdown, and see (for example) "view your posts", he might understand "view your posts in this topic", which is not correct (right?). In my opinion, the search dropdown only makes sense in the global search box, not ...

Maybe it's not possible with phpBB browsers compatibility requirements, but what about HTML5 drag and drop ?

You don't want to scroll to the bottom to go to the ACP, but what about scrolling to the top when you are at the bottom ? :-p
I think having two links doesn't hurt anyone.
