CMS - phpbb integrations
I'm starting development on a new project and before I get too deep I thought I'd seek some input. It's basically a product/service review site with forums. Manufacturers send me products or request secret service reviews, I review it and forum members can discuss products, ask for help/advice, etc....

Re: Biggest competition threats to PHPBB forums
I don't want members constantly begging for their posts/profile to be "liked" as they do on other SM sites either... I never subscribe to topics but I'd imagine that people that do are used to the "me too" posts since SM sites aren't that old...relatively speaking. "Like&quo...

Re: Biggest competition threats to PHPBB forums

Re: Biggest competition threats to PHPBB forums
Except he wouldn't switch to anything else, because there is no commercial forum software that DOESN'T have the like feature. I certainly don't know about *all* forum sw but I don't think that wpbb has ratings, by default, but there is a ratings plug-in. Regardless, it's not the "like" th...

Mods vs Styles
I tried to search but I didn't notice any good hits and this may have been brought up many times before so forgive me if I'm beating a dead horse but... Is there any way to make the mods and styles more independent so one doesn't break the other? Some mods rely on a certain style (prosilver usually)...

Re: [RFC] Anti-spam features
I found that Advanced Block Mod stopped almost all of my spam registrations so I'd love to see something like that added to the core as well as better administration tools like those found in Ban Hammer, Disallow links before x posts and Anti-Spam ACP. User administration and blocking/deleting spam ...

Re: Biggest competition threats to PHPBB forums
I spend a lot of time on social sites. Upvoting, liking and mentions are all part of our social online world now. I see a comment I like, I want to give my vote. I want to like a post. I want to mention other users when I'm referencing or directing a post to them. I am able to do it on blogs, Faceb...
