Since site titles don't change that often I think #1 is best too...

Re: No Link For You! (anti-spam)

I have nothing to prove to anyone. If it's heavier than my suggestion then it's too heavy, imho. Simple. If you admit it's heavier that's good enough reason to use my suggestion for this RFC. :D

You might want to argue the difference between heavier and too heavy, I'm not wasting my time. If you ...

Re: WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

@ Master_Cylinder - Are you against the current phpBB editor? If not, I don't get your logic because a wysiwyg editor is a more user-friendly version of the phpbb editor (technical back-end aside).
Since I've said repeatedly that I prefer the current editor it'd be hard to be against it. I don't ...

Re: What is the future of phpBB????

As I mentioned in the Responsive Layout topic I *would* like to see the statistics column from we_clearblue instead of the dual columns in prosilver and I'd like to see topic titles and descriptions vertically centered like they are in we_clearblue but other than that and a few other minor personal ...

Re: WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

I disagree and I think it's *unreasonable* to assume everyone would want a wysisyg editor since not "everyone" wants one now. There are places where wysiwyg makes sense, like word processors but most forum posts are simple text and maybe a little bold/underline/etc. so it's really not needed except ...

Re: WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

Technically it's reasonable to assume that everybody would want a WYSIWYG editor. What people don't want is a slow or overly complicated editor. If there was a way to have a fast, uncluttered editor that is actually WYSIWYG, anybody in their right mind would want that.
wysiwyg has never been that ...

Re: WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

Are you saying that there *aren't* a large number of admins that don't like wysiwyg or are you just mad because you want it and I pointed that out?

Just because you're for one doesn't mean everyone is. What happened to logic, reason and common sense?

Re: No Link For You! (anti-spam)

This is how I see:

If it is " Disallow links before x posts ", it will be under board Settings.
If it is " Authorized for URL ", it will be under permissions.

If there are other RFCs that may be added to the core which depends on Auto group, then we might as well have Auto group on the core. If ...

Re: No Link For You! (anti-spam)

The "overkill" analogy was fine, you just don't like that it's fitting. :D

Not with THIS idea, which also includes a per group post limit. That's a group-wide setting not a permission.

Back to the benchmark cop-out? If you want to waste time benchmarking go ahead, I don't need a benchmark ...

Re: What is the future of phpBB????

I'm not a web developer either; I have no idea, but if styles, extensions and the core are all separate that sounds like a step in the right direction. Changing styles should be simple, regardless of which extensions are already installed.
