Re: AngularJS for phpbb
3) If Angular is used, then what happens to the other planned RFCs that may be affected due to the change in framework?
What change? phpBB, currently, does not use any javascript framework.
I was referring to the RFCs that are planned to be added to the core for 3.2 or later that depends on ...

Re: AngularJS for phpbb
I understand that it is impossible for 3.1 for sure. But what I was thinking is, since there are many RFCs that may be added in the future (for 3.2, etc..) that may be affected if Angular was going to be added to the core at all. For instance, the jquery Ajax features that are planned to be added to ...

AngularJS for phpbb
In one of the post by Exreaction, I came to realize that there may be a possibility of using AngularJS in the future. I havent found any RFC or discussions on this so here it is. Is this something that is considered? I see so much potential when using AngularJS with phpbb! It would work like an ...

Re: Info boxes idea :)
I use something like this in my wiki pages but I am not sure if this is gonna be helpful for forums. What purpose would this be used for in forums? Some examples might give me an idea in its use.

Re: Prosilver redesign
There is talk of a new style but some of us think that should be a secondary style, not for replacing prosilver but to add with it. Prosilver just needs a few tweaks, imho...
Prosilver should be fine for phpbb the current way it is. Maybe a few tweaks or add more enhancement using bootstrap if ...

All PHP Frameworks Suck!!
I recently read this interesting article that highlights the answer given by php creator "Rasmus Lerdorf" when somebody asked what he thinks about PHP framework.
That was in an event about PHP frameworks. What was interesting is that he said that the PHP frameworks, they all suck. This was an ...

Re: phpbb 4 framework
Laravel community seems to mostly favor the ease of entry – virtually no learning curve
That is what appealed to me as well. I am new to FWs myself and over the past months when I was learning (or rather researching) on different php FW, I also realised that Laravel is good even for newcomers ...

Re: phpbb 4 framework
we chose symfony, rather than laravel, and twig instead of blade
From what I understand, phpbb might be gradually re-written based on Symfony2 framework in the future. But since its a long way from now, I wonder if that needs to be reviewed again. atm, Laravel seems to be getting more and more ...

Re: Prosilver redesign
What would really be fantastic I think would be to design a new style for the REST API that is being worked on. A nice new style could be built using AngularJS with "AJAX" everything. But that would take quite a while to see the light of day...
That seems like a good idea too.

Re: Prosilver redesign
+1 for Modernizing Prosilver. But what can be done to modernize it? As of 3.1, the responsive layout for prosilver itself is a very big improvement. Although visually there might not be much difference but it is on the right track in terms of modernizing it. Although I can create styles using html ...
