How to have the notification system in extensions for both version 3.1 and 3.2
My extensions uses the notificationsystem to warn users.
How can I have only one extension version for both phpbb versions?

Re: phpBB 3.2.0-b2 released
Today I had to install B2 again and the installer worked without timeouts.
One minor thing, using smtp as mailserver I'm not able to set up a different port at installtime. The field isn't in the form.

Re: Complete redesign of the update process?
There are still a lot of changes in core as I experience.
Events and functions not in core, maybe asked but still not in versions of phpbb.
It's not wise to stop automatic updater!

Re: phpBB 3.2.0-b1 released
b2 will have some improvements on trying to prevent server timeouts, but mysql on windows is very slow, nothing we can do about that.
Seemed to work fine prior to 3.2. So are you ready to respond to the multitude of tickets that will be opened due to the installer not finishing on Windows ...

Re: phpBB 3.2.0-b2
No it also stopped once in previous step, don't remember the value but around 81%.
But I will increase the maximum time and ignore warnings as the problem is already fixed and inform everybody to ignore warnings at setup.

Re: phpBB 3.2.0-b2
Well I did a lot of installations on this server without any problems and since 3.2.0.a2 its not working anymore.
My server didn't change so it's the installationscript of phpbb,. The previous installation script is much more efficiënter is my conclusion then.
A installationscript should not depend ...

Re: phpBB 3.2.0-b2
Off course I could do that and able to finish the install but it should also work on a real webserver. Previous installs never had a problem with this so why changing default settings only to install phpbb?
Don't think a lot hosters will change their settings for phpbb

phpBB 3.2.0-b2
As requested I tried to install B2.
It refreshes the page and got stalled at 91% Refreshing the page gives me a "Seek position 5 is out of range" error message.
Going back to Index.php says phpbb already installed. Don't know what I'm missing now.

Re: [RFC] "Extension Upload Button" for ACP
That's a good idea 3D-I3D-I wrote: Sun Feb 14, 2016 4:18 am Yes.
Even easier.. directly put the 'upload extension' into the phpBB package prior to upload it, once phpBB it will be installed you can activate the extension from the ACP, two birds with just one seed.![]()
