I believe it is very important, that users see all messages written by moderator or admins of a board. So it makes sense, that they are not able to hide them.

The UCP Front Page has an Important Announcement section which lists all important messages by admins or mods right? So, the user HAVE to ...

Just read here that quick reply is not bbCode enabled. Wanted to confirm that.

Personally, I'd prefer quick replies being bbcode enabled, as it provides a faster formatting of posts provided you know bbcodes thoroughly.

Now that gives me an idea... What about custom bbcodes to identify user and post? Something like

A few things that need to be decided:
Should the edit button in the mcp also have a quick edit function?
How about the PM area?
Include BBCodes or not?

I'd say don't add BBCodes especially since the quick reply doesn't have bbcodes either.

MCP may include quick edit ...

Finished a simple plugin to insert links, suitable for bbCodes. Attaching screen shots of the current status.

Yet to do:

Disable the default Edit Link and Unlink options in context menu
Workout a Remove Link toolbar and context menu button
Set selected text as link to text in the insert link ...

By the way, is the subject field really necessary? It is a 'quick' reply right? I don't think anyone would bother changing the subject in a quick reply. Just asked anyway.

What would happen when 2+ usernames are associated with one email address? Unless we can come up with a satisfactory answer for that, -1 from me.

Just asking... 2+ usernames associated with same email address implies duplicate account right? Why allow that? Discontinue the registration right then ...
