Re: Third Party CAPTCHA
I liked the captcha like it was in the CVS a few months ago. (where there were different type of CAPTCHAs). The new one does not look so much harder than the CAPTCHA a few days ago.

Re: Problem making new forums and users
apperently phpBB3.0 isn't compatible with the latest server builds I guess the problem is the mysql-server. I reinstalled the server to version 5.0.18nt and everything seems to work fine now. the version was 5.0.26nt community Im running here with mysql-5.0.26-r1 (gentoo ebuild) without any problem...

Re: Counting of the edit count
Some forums might not want to use the edit reason field etc but make it still transparent to the user when a posting was edited. And as far as I have seen this is not the only case where the edit count does not increment, like : if the last post is edited, there is no edit count either. I doen't rem...

Counting of the edit count
Hi, we are a little bit confused how the edit count is counted in Olympus CVS. Example: If a mod edits a post and does not enter a edit reason, the edit count , last change etc. is not updated. First I thought this is a bug but looking in the code this seems to be there intentionally. IMHO the post ...

Re: Now only 3 bugs is "fix in progress", so Beta 3 will rel
They have done a lot of fixes this day, i think the beta 3 is for this month :) Yes, this sounds realistic. Although there were some changes which could introduce new bugs (at least one, already fixed), we could expect beta 3 every day now. We might get Beta 3 even before Samhain (moon ca...

Re: Database upgrade question
The upgrade from 2.x to 3.x probably will read the old database and create a new one or will populate a fresh installed Olympus. Any upgrade from 3.x to 3.y will only alter the old database. You will have to make a copy manually.

Re: Password hashing function
(NOTE: even phpBB2 is not completely compatible to the Olympus md5 hash) What changed in how the hash is handled between v2 and v3? The MD5 hash algorithm is well-defined, and both use, IIRC, the PHP implementation to handle it. Some special characters are hashed as html entities in current Olympus...

Re: Bug is less,
Hmm 42 bugs. So the phpBB team is building Deep Thought and the current state of Olympus is The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything! And no, the ultimate question is NOT "When will Olympus be released?"
