The only thing I'd be worried about is the members misusing the karma system, and get a user banned. Of course, if you have misbehaving members, the karma system should be diabled, and they should be banned.

Definately unnecessary. This is exactly why there is a place in your profile to enter your MSN/AIM/ICQ/Yahoo address. 4 types of IMs right there. If people want to talk live, they can install a MOD or exchange IM account names.

As stated by many staff members, the CVS has no guerentee of being useable...none at all. The developers will add new feautres and fix things when they feel the time is right. Besides, the CVS's aren't intended for being used for any other reason than personal testing.
