Overview

At some point, forums administrators will encounter lusers who believe (rightly or not) that they have been unfairly banned and wish to argue their case. Currently, they are prompted to fire off an e-mail to the board's e-mail address, which I believe to be inadequate for two reasons ...

I would interpret this as:

• Open-source being more efficient at fixing problems than closed source.
• Microsoft not caring to fix the brokenness that is Windows.

They're probably converting phpbb.com to 3.0.0 and making sure everything works before the countdown expires.

What will be interesting is when the "review later" issues are dealt with.

Wasn't that done pre-RC6?

It seems like you've still got your mind in phpBB2, where a user could fill in each of the profile fields at registration time. I don't know if you've noticed the phpBB3 registration page (particularly if you've converted from phpBB2), but these days, the only things that you fill in at registration ...

The best thing that I could find was this MOD in development. (EDIT: Actually, ignore that, seems like the MOD was abandoned.)

(Incidentally, I'm sure that there was an option to manually edit a user's warning count in one of the betas, but I can't really remember now.)
