Thank's Paul for everything. I think the reason why phpbb is as great as it is right now because it was a closed dev team. They knew exactly how to make things right . I just hope he will stop by once in a while. And I'm sure he will stay in contact Acyd for awhile at least.

I am also addicted to phpbb.com. Im on it 24/7. and waiting for the momment paul is on at the same time as me.

The developers should know by now that the key to the success of phpBB is through its MOD database. The easier they do this the better.

It should be fully modular, adding mods would only mean moving the files to the right place and updating database. phpBB should then recognise these files and ...

No we can't provide a comparison at this time.

This hardware is of a reasonable spec, but at the same time, area51 is currently hosted on a machine that is also the DB server for one of the larger phpBB boards out there so is under a fair bit of load already.

I would use the latest version of phpbb.

Good Idea. Now will the other board software do the same.

I was testing out the cvs and I saw that if the board does go offline because of high server load you can not access the admin pannel. Shouldn't an admin be able so that maybe they could try and gain control of the load and bring it down or something of the sort.

I wouldnt think so. As there main focus is getting 2.2 finished right now.
