Style making will be much eassier with the new system.
I assumed it would be harder because there are more .tpl/.html files to edit.

You can keep all your design in css and still use tables. Tables just serve a different purpose than div tags, for example displaying rows and columns of data.

Sorry to hear that. My hard drive crashed a few weeks ago and I didn't have a backup. I was able to recover about 50% of it, but the rest was gone. :(

I have done three backups since then. :)

I can't believe someone broke in while you were home.

So, instead of checking to make sure each post has a closed tag for every open tag before displaying it in the forum, they check this when it is entered into the database. Then when they pull it out of the database to display it, they only need to replace the tags because they no longer need to ...
