Re: [Patch] Direct (php-less) attachment downloads
Since I don't really want to sign up to the JIRA just to comment on the one issue, I wanted to add that there is a fairly easy solution to the permissions question; simply store the files in a hierarchy that matches the forum layout, so if the forum permissions are changed then that branch of the ...

Re: [Patch] Direct (php-less) attachment downloads
...which is why you can put resources (e.g. files) directly on your server without any interaction of phpBB .

Re: [Patch] Direct (php-less) attachment downloads
I think that for PHP-less downloads to work the administrator would need to be able to enable the feature per-forum, with the caveat that it means all users will be able to download the files. This way we can enable it for public forums, but leave the protection enabled in private forums ...

Re: RSS feed?
Could this idea not be added in a similar way to Jabber, except instead of sending to a user as Jabber message it does it as an RSS item that they can then see later?

Ignore poster
Well, since I can't seem to use the search feature at the moment (under development?) then I figured I'd post here.
Basically I'm wondering if v2.2 is going to have an ignore user option? I know that when the karma system was in place it was possible just ignore users with less than X karma rating ...

Auto-pruning in 2.2
Hey, I'm wondering what file(s) actually handle auto-pruning in v2.2 (or rather 2.1)?
I'm mainly just curious to see how phpBB is currently doing this, as php doesn't seem to be all that good a language for scheduling things like automatic forum pruning and the like.
