A simpler way to process remains in letting the modder to choose what he want to install
Why not combine both approaches? You can easily split your MOD into functional parts as you ...

Re: 06: Care to Comment?
I'd prefer (if for nothing else but neatness), that comments do not appear on the line before or after the actual action name.
I second that vote. All the MODs that I would classify as having a proper and nice readable format do use comments starting at the 4th line of the action like this ...

Re: 07: Watch your Languages
No that's wrong.
Well, I guess you missunderstood me. My note was not about the French people not understanding/speaking English but about often not wanting to speak English. I guess it's because they are so proud of their language.

Re: 07: Watch your Languages
You're MOD adicted?
Nope. Most of the MODs on my board are functional enhancements instead of funky (nice to have) things. I made my own CMS, a user computer database, a user location map and some other MODs which are more closely related to the main topic of my web site (Distributed ...

Re: 07: Watch your Languages
A simple program can be written to convert the template commands from one language to another.
All of these will be stored in corresponding lang_easymod file for that language. So if you have the lang_easymod file for this language then EM will have no problem installing these translations even ...

Also note that commands (ie. OPEN and FIND) are in French. The commands need to be written in either the primary designated language (English) or in the language of the translation. Providing the commands in the translated language is the perferred method.

Re: Bug in handling MOD without SAVECLOSE
Uh, oh. Maybe. Don't remember all the things I wrote in the last year.
Today I found another similar thing. I had accidentally made a MOD ending like this (with other actions pasted after SAVECLOSE but before EOM):

[BUG REPORT] Bug in handling MOD without SAVECLOSE
Hi !
If a MOD has no SAVECLOSE action then EasyMOD 0.0.10a stops with saying "Installation failed" but does not show any sign of _what_ went wrong (i.e. the place where I expect the error message is just empty).
Ciao, Michael.

[YES - PRIORITY] Remove HTML tags from MOD header fields
Hi !
I suggest to remove all HTML tags from the MOD header fields shown in the list of to be installed mods. I had one called "<table> fix" which screwed up the whole display.
Ciao, Michael.
