It seems that allowing guest user to post encourage the bots to not register to post their spams...
Manutoo, on my forums guests can do nothing besides read, they cannot post anything anyway and still I get these spam registrations.

I find it interesting that 98% of the latest spammers used gmail accounts.
Normally it is emails ending with .ru but these ones were just about all of them gmail accounts.

Hi rleeden, I agree with too much noise. If one ads too much noise you make it too difficult for real users to register.

I did and I even changed the setting to make it more difficult to read. It has not effect
