This is a good idea. I think you should highlight in some way the key currently in-use so the user knows which key they are using at that moment. This would be useful so they don't delete the session they are using currently.

I'm not a coder but one would think having the system remove the code from the posts once the Permission is changed is not a good idea.

Then again, it can be made so all previous posts will remain as is. I could live with that.

I believe that phpBB should have the ability to set permissions for who can use custom bbcodes. This would be very useful because you can have certain bbcodes for admins/moderators etc. This would also mean you could hide bbcodes to logged in users, as you could have permissions for ...

The only thing I think that would be useful for the custom bbcode system is being able to assign template variables, this would be very useful when only wanting bbcodes to be viewed by logged in users. the easymod for phpbb3 is called mod manager and is still only available for download through the svn at http://code.phpbb.com

The new parser works really well. Is it going to include the ability to add if statements into it and be able to limit the bbcodes based on groups because that will make it awesome even more.
